Baltimore: Day 3

To start off our day we went to visit where Chelsea teaches at Towson University

After visiting Towson we went to the Evergreen Museum and walked around outside

Next stop was the Baltimore Museum of Art

I think my favorite part of the BMA was the Sculpture Gardens

On my walk back from the BMA to Chelsea/Mike's house I strolled through Johns Hopkins

I'm on my way to Washington D.C for many more adventures to come...

Baltimore: Day 2

I brought Eden 2 outfits and a pair of shoes for her birthday (late) and she wanted to put them on first things in the morning!

While I was in Baltimore they had their yearly Kinetic Sculpture Race and I loved being there to see all the creative sculptures. We watched them go in and out of the Harbor.

We headed over to "Little Havana" for Cuban food with friends of Chelsea & Mike's

Look what Eden's daddy drew on the wall  for her birthday!

That night Chelsea, Mike, some of their friends, and I went over to Johns Hopkins University to hear one of their friends read a passage from his English MA Thesis. Mike gave me a tour of JHU and it is beautiful. In case you didn't know—it is also where the movie, "The Social Network" is actually filmed.

Baltimore: Day 1

I arrived in Baltimore around dinner time so we went to an eclectic place to eat called, "Paper Moon".

Later that night I got to babysit E. (notice the photo bomb by the baby elephant)

Being "older" and single means that people feel the need to help you find ways to meet people. It also means getting out of your comfort zone to try "new" things or "ways" to meet people. This can create some interesting moments...

Like getting on Eharmony and living my online life exactly like my offline life—meaning the guys I am interested in not being interested in me and the guys interested in me I'm not interested (it is bad enough in real life)

Or going to a "mid-singles" event and realizing the "mid" age is a LOT older than expected.

Or that one time a friend tried to set me up with one of my seminary students.

Or that time one of my clients wanted to set me up with a relative (who is 10 years younger than me...thanks for thinking I was much younger).

And so many more... I actually find a lot of joy in these stories and the people who make them happen. So, thanks for bringing them into my life. Seriously, life is made up of these kinds of moments and either you laugh or cry. I choose to laugh!
